our program ...
We are very selective when picking studs for breedings and will go to great lengths to find the best studs that suit our females. All of our studs need to pass tests ranging from health to temperament to conformation so that we can call them Callahan studs.
We do offer stud service to qualified breeding programs, and currently have four active studs available. One has been shown for an International Champion title. I handled him myself for all of the shows!
If we need an outside stud we have Champion studs and a Grand Champion sired stud available from our good friends. They are on call for us if we need them. The Champions and Grand Champion sired stud have also passed similar tests that are required for our breeding program and have passed with flying colors.
We've produced really nice puppies and have kept the best for our breeding program. They are the best representation of the French Bulldog breed. Most of our dogs are on the smaller or medium weight limit, between 13 to 26 pounds.
If you do acquire a breeding female from us, you are welcome to use any of our studs and we will even do the artificial insemination for you if you can come to our home. Full AKC papers are given to you. We never charge money for AKC papers.

how our program works ...
It's a $500 deposit to get on our waiting list. That puts you in your place of pick. Once you're on the list, you are allowed to pick in order of the list or pass to the next litter for as long as you want. I can certainly send over the contract so you can look it over and think about it. It protects the puppy for the lifetime of the dog and also gives you a 5-year health guarantee. We have never had a puppy returned for any reason or bad health, ever, but we will always offer a health guarantee because that's what we wanted when we bought our puppies in the past.
We rarely have available standard puppies because we always have a waiting list. When we do have litters, they're usually very small or often singleton puppies. Please remember that a well bred dog is worth waiting for. We are about quality, not quantity. Gestation period is 63 days from the last artificial insemination. Then, of course, 8 weeks until the puppies can go home.
A lot of people make a monthly payment of their choice while riding out the waiting list so that when they are ready to pick up their puppy, it's not one lump sum. That is your choice if you want to do it that way. We always document all payments with your signature and our signature on the contract. Think of it as a layaway! Just like that!
It's so rewarding to track your favorite female from the moment she gets pregnant to the moment the puppies are born, and then all the way until you pick your baby and walk out our front door.
I put you on an update system by texting you all details of what's going on with our breeding program. When anything important happens, you will know. I frequently send pictures and cute videos. When the bitch's temperature starts dropping, getting closer to labor; when she starts producing milk, which means we are usually three days away from labor; the rush to the emergency hospital while we are in route; getting the C-section; and, of course, the newborn picture with videos as soon as I help the doctor deliver them -- all important steps of the puppy's life will be documented for you! It's pretty neat seeing it all instead of buying an available puppy. It's just so rewarding! You're welcome to visit any litters at most any time when you're on the waiting list.
We don't let anyone choose a puppy until the puppies have taken on their personality and you're able to see its conformation. In our past, we didn't like having to pick a newborn or feeling pressured. We didn't like not knowing what the puppy was going to look like or act like. We think it's important to see the personality and conformation before you do your pick!
